Yes. biOrb aquariums come with everything needed for a freshwater setup. For a saltwater setup, you can adapt the Service Kit by removing the foam. You would then need to source the salt and hydrometer at your local pet store. If a higher-intensity light is needed, there are a few add-ons you could source. We recommend using an 8-gallon or larger biOrb aquarium but always consult your local saltwater aquarium shop for best results. See our tips and tricks for more details.
How often do I need to clean a biOrb Aquarium?

Not automatically. The MCR timer ends in a soft blue “night mode,” not full darkness. This setting is designed to mimic moonlight and provide a calming nighttime environment for your aquarium. If you prefer complete darkness, simply turn the light off using the remote or inline switch.
Does the MCR timer work with color options?
No, the timer function works with white light only. When you set a timer (8, 10, 12, or 14 hours), your biOrb will follow a natural white-light cycle—starting in deep blue, rising to white, then returning to blue “night mode.” Colored lighting options must be selected and adjusted manually.

If you decorate you fish tank You have to basically redecorate your tank every time you change the filter Who's bright idea was to put that at the bottom of the tank then you have to remember the little plastic piece every time you feed your fish if you lose it or misplace it then the water splashes everywhere if my husband didn't make me feel bad about him giving it to me for Christmas I would have returned this tank and get something less time consuming"

I set it up with live plants (Anubia and Java Fern), and have 6 male Endler Livebearers, a nerite snail and cherry shrimp…. All of which are thriving. The MCR lighting is great, especially the mode that provides automatic on and off with dawn/dusk features. I simply love this tank, thank you BiOrb!"

I bought 2 HALO aquariums
"I bought 2 HALO aquariums about a month ago (4 gallon and 8 gallon). I loved the unique look and easy setup. But after a month, I went to do a water change and filter change and was unable to unlock the bubble tubes. I tried using rubber gloves. I took all the fish, decor, rocks and water out, let everything dry and still wasn’t able to unlock it. It wouldn’t budge. Then I read a lot of people have been complaining about a defect in this model. Unfortunately, I had to buy a new tank from another brand and lost most of my fish due to stress in the process. And I was unable to get ahold of customer service. This was a very disappointing purchase bc this is otherwise a very unique and great design."

The light will turn on after you have made your selection and begin the 24-hour cycle at that time.
