Yes. biOrb aquariums come with everything needed for a freshwater setup. For a saltwater setup, you can adapt the Service Kit by removing the foam. You would then need to source the salt and hydrometer at your local pet store. If a higher-intensity light is needed, there are a few add-ons you could source. We recommend using an 8-gallon or larger biOrb aquarium but always consult your local saltwater aquarium shop for best results. See our tips and tricks for more details.
How often do I need to clean a biOrb Aquarium?

Not automatically. The MCR timer ends in a soft blue “night mode,” not full darkness. This setting is designed to mimic moonlight and provide a calming nighttime environment for your aquarium. If you prefer complete darkness, simply turn the light off using the remote or inline switch.
Does the MCR timer work with color options?
No, the timer function works with white light only. When you set a timer (8, 10, 12, or 14 hours), your biOrb will follow a natural white-light cycle starting in blue, rising to white, then returning to blue “night mode.” Colored lighting options must be selected and adjusted manually.

I had a Biorb Halo
"I had a Biorb Halo for at least a decade and finally decided we needed a new tank. We LOVE the new Tube aquarium. It has so much more room on the bottom to enjoy and appreciate the decorations; no more wasted space at the bottom (or top) of the tank. It is also so much easier to get items in/out of the tank with the much larger opening at the top. I gave the Tube a 5 star rating, but would give Biorb overall 4 stars for two reasons. One, I feel Biorb should give you the option to choose which media you want; the ceramic one or the pearl (instead of having to pay extra for that too). There is no comparison for me, the pearl is the way to go (though I wish it was darker in color), especially with a tank where you can see the acrylic all the way to the bottom of the tank. For us, the ceramic media seemed to scratch the acrylic near the bottom no matter how careful we were when cleaning the tank. Also, it doesn't seem the pearl media will leave the "grit" at the bottom of the tank. Second, there seems to be FAR fewer options for sculptures/decorations/sets than there have been in the past. I'm hoping that there are new ones coming soon!"

"Very satisfied with the Tube 35 Aquarium, my cichilds love it! My previoud Tube 35, that had been gifted to me was roughly three years old and had been moved to multiple different locations, taking on wear and tear over time. It wasn’t until a few days after I had performed a deep clean, I noticed a very small crack in the base, which led to a leak on the bottom of the tank. Thanks to their quality built acyrlic tank, I was able to catch it right away without it turning into a big mess. I temporarily moved the fish into small separate plastic tanks, since they were all I had. I was worried that the new tank wouldn’t arrive on time and that I’d have dead fish on my hands; thanks to their very timely delivery, all of the fish made it into their new home, their support was very helpful, and considerate of the situation. Thanks Biorb!"
