Yes. biOrb aquariums come with everything needed for a freshwater setup. For a saltwater setup, you can adapt the Service Kit by removing the foam. You would then need to source the salt and hydrometer at your local pet store. If a higher-intensity light is needed, there are a few add-ons you could source. We recommend using an 8-gallon or larger biOrb aquarium but always consult your local saltwater aquarium shop for best results. See our tips and tricks for more details.

Not automatically. The MCR timer ends in a soft blue “night mode,” not full darkness. This setting is designed to mimic moonlight and provide a calming nighttime environment for your aquarium. If you prefer complete darkness, simply turn the light off using the remote or inline switch.
Does the MCR timer work with color options?
No, the timer function works with white light only. When you set a timer (8, 10, 12, or 14 hours), your biOrb will follow a natural white-light cycle starting in deep blue, rising to white, then returning to blue “night mode.” Colored lighting options must be selected and adjusted manually.

"I have wanted a BiOrb for the longest time and was excited when the LOOP 30 w/ MCR came off of back order. I set it up ;largely based on the Loop Look display and it is every bit as nice looking in my home as it is on line! The water has been in for 3 days now and I am anxious to finally get my fish. …And am already thinking about a second tank :-) Customer Service Support is absolutely TOP NOTCH!!! That alone will help secure my loyalty to BioOrb. Please send extend very due recognition to Cindy Moffat and Erica Zigman. They have been very supportive from advising me when the Loop 30/MCR would be back in stock… to helpful guidance with set up and any question that I had. "The design and aesthetic is second to none. Fairly simple to set up out of the box. Have not had it long enough to assess the filtration efficiency and the cleaning. However, compared to most standard out of the box aquariums, this will require a little more effort as far as cleaning when that time comes. It would be nice if the top lid came off completely, as the opening is just wide enough to barely be able to position your ornaments. Those buying this are doing it for the design and high end finishes. But not necessarily for the aquarium expert or aficionados. That being said, I am happy with my purchase knowing full well what I expected. Everyone that sees it has their jaw hit the floor and asks me where I got it. I would highly recommend this for someone just starting out with only a few fish that are sturdy and resilient."

- Hi..if i get a heater where would the cord fit through on the top? Are there any holes in the top back for this? If not then the top would be partially off?

The biOrb Heater Pack is designed to be compatible with all biOrb aquarium models, except the HALO 15 (4-gallon). It includes a heater stand with suction cups that allow you to firmly attach the heater onto both curved and flat surfaces of your aquarium. The lid of this aquarium has a power cord opening that allows you to add a heater to the aquarium. We hope this helps!
