"I wish this could be more compact in size considering how small the 4 gallon orb tank is, but it works fine and does the job. The thermometer that comes with it is also fine however the suction cup turned a milky white color in 2 days. It disturbs me so much I had to go buy another suction cup. Some of us are neurotic like that (Lol) don’t disrupt the vibe of my bettas aesthetic!"

Hi. What substrate would you recommend with your filters if you plan to use live plants?
Hello Debi. We do not recommend housing live plants in our aquariums, they are designed and tested for fish only. The live plants roots can interfere with the filtration and the roots will grow around the filter blocking off the water flow. Also, the lighting in the biOrb aquariums is not for growing. We hope this helps!
What heater should I use with the halo 15? My son got one for Christmas and our fish is too cold.
Hello Claire. Unfortunately, we do not have a heater that is compatible with the HALO 15L, however we suggest reaching out to your local pet store for more assistance. Please note there is no place for the heater cord to lie in the HALO lid. TIP: make sure to move your aquarium away from windows or air vents that could impact the water temperature in the aquarium.
